The importance of establishing efficient steam eomm 'in icit ion between the producing districts of Blind Biy and the markets of the colony his been long felt The objects of (his Company fire to purchase a suitable steamer to tr.ide bstween Motueka, Moutere, Riwaka, Waitapu, Collingword Nelson, and other places in the Bay. The tntdo with these ports is large, and increasing daily, and the present means of communication are inadequate for the requirements of the inhabitants of these numerous districts. The timber trade alone has lately hfs imed an important position, and will continue to do so. The promoters (eel certain that a large and Bteariy tra'le with boh passengers and cargo would ba at once received by any Company that would put a mutable bsitonthe Bay, and that such a boat wou'.d pay large dmdtniis to the owners, and prove au extremely profitable undertaking, '[he public will ateo derive great beneiit by being able to go to iNelson a*id back the same day. The piomotcrs therefore call upon the settlers in these districts to take shares in the proposed j Company, iu order to participate in the above j and other juivaiitugea thst are certain to \ accrue from the purchase of a a' earner, to be devoted to their interests. They therefore bojie that every fettler will take a few shares, and enrly application is necessary, in order to rrevent the control of the Company's affairs falling into the hands of a few. Applications for Share3 are to be sent tither to the Secretary, at Motueka, or the Union Bank of Australia, Nelson, where the necessary forms can be obtaiued. The Share Ligt will close on the Fifte°nth j of October next. Motueka, August 1!) 4 1375.
