Bluff, August 27. The s.s. Albion with the English mails, via Suez, arrived at the Bluff at 3 p.m. to-day, having left. Melbourne on the 23rd. She brings 34 saloon and 30 steerage passengers, j and 500 tons of cargo for all ports. She leaves for Duned'n to-night at 8 pm. Chbistchubch, Thursday. About 15,000 trout ova have beeu obtained for artificial hatching, but a large quantity have been destroyed'by the failure of a new experiment. Nearly 2000 are already hatched out. The Curator is expecting more ova yet. Auckland, Friday. ; Arrived— Ship John Reanie, from London. She made the voyage in 106 days. There are 33 passengers, but no immigrants. Mr Buckland reports fat cattle advanced, 2a 6d per 100 lbs; prices range now from 37s 6d to 42a 6d per 100 lbs ; fat sheep 3d per lb. Mr Binney reports flour, Oamaru, and Dunedin, £12; Christchurch, £11; wheat, 4* 6d; oats, 3a 3d; oatmeal, £18; psarl barley, £27; cheese, IOd; butter lg 2d, hams and bacon, ls ; bran, £5. Market fuliy stocked, and trade very quiet. Pollard, £6.
