Nelson, June 14, 1875. 1609 THE following CLAUSE of tbe "Nelson Highways Act, 1872," is published for the INFORMATION of LANDHOLDER in the WAIM&A ROAD DISTRICT:— " Clause 42. — If any road shall be injured by the shade of any hedges or trees, and the sun and wind are thereby excluded from such highway to the damage thereof, or if any obstruction is caused in any road by any hedge or tree, and if any owner or occupitr of the land on which such hedges or trees are growing, after having received fourteen dny 8 ' notice from the Board for tbe district to cut or trim the eaid hedges or trtes, 'so that the said road thall not be ininjured or obstructed thereby, sha'l huve failed so to do, such owner or occupier elidl be liable to a penalty not exceeding Five Pounds."
