Wood" stated that Dr Collis Bbowne was undoubtedly the inventor of "CHLORODYNE;" tbat the story of the defendant, Freeman being the inventor, was deliberately untrue, which he regretted bad been sworn to. Eminent Hospital Physicians of London stated that Dr J Collis Bbownb was the dhcoverer of Chlorodyne; that they prescribed it largely, and mean no other than Dr Bbowne's.— See Times, of July 18, The Public, therefore, are cautioned n gainst using any other than Db. J. Collis Bbowne's Chlobodyne. BBMBDIAL USES AND ACTION. Montgomery, Esq., late Inspector of Hospitals, Bombay : — " Chlorodyne is a most valuable remedy in Neuralgia, Asthma, and Dysentery. To it I fairly owe my restoration to health, after eighteen months . severe suffering, and when all other remedhs had failed." Dr. Lowe. Medical Missionary in India, reports (December, 1865) : — " That in nearly every cape of Cholera in which Dr. J. Collis Bbowne's Chlorodyne was administered, the patient recovered." Extract from ihe Medical Times, January 12, 1866:— "Chlorodyne is prescribed by scores of orthodox medical practitioners. Of course it would not thus be singularly popular, did it not < supply a want and fill a place.' " Extract from the General Board of Health, London, as to its efficacy in Cholera :— " So \ strongly convinced are we of the immense value of this remedy, that we -cannot too forcibly urge the necessity of adopting it in all c*»ees." Btware of spurious and dangerous compounds sold bs *« Chlobodyhb," from which . frequent fatal results have followed. See leading article, Pharmaceutical Journal, r Ist August, 1*69, which states that Dr. J Collis Bbowne was the Inventor of Chlobodvnb ; tbat it -is always right to use his preparation when Chlorodyne is ordered.
