London, April 21. Compulsory liquidation has betn ordered in the Australian Direct Steamship Company. Arrived — Merope, City of Auckland, and Charlotte Padbury [? Gladstone], from New Zealand. In the House of Commons Dr Kenealy's motion for the appointment of a Royal Commission of Enquiry into the Tichborne trial was rejected by 434 to 1, after a protracted debate, in which Messrs Disraeli and Bright powerfully opposed tbe motion. Dr Kenealy's speech was principally confined to a weak attack on the alleged misbehaviour of the judges. The lock out in South Wales is withdrawn, and the reduction of 15 per cent rejected. The price of wheat is drooping, owing to large expected arrivals. The wool market is quiet, but prices continue firm. Hemp is dull. Fifty bales of New Zealand^eold at £17 to £21. Bombat, April 24. The Guicowar of Baroda was deposed yesterday. This decision was passed on account of his gross misgovernment, and not on the report of the Commission of Enquiry into the poisoning of the political residents, as the Commissioners disagree upon it. The Native administration in Baroda continues.
