Germany has tent a note to Belgium suggesting that she should make some alterations in the laws to repress the attack of tlie Ultramoutanes, us it is intended tbat any States wishing to preserve,, the advantace of neutrality, should avoid anything tending to affect it. Belyiura replied that the existing laws were sufficient. The Australian Direct Steam Navigation Company has collapsed, and a liquidation petition been presented.
The steamship Victoria, announced to leave on the 27th February, has been detained up to the present time. Tbe disappointed ■passengers have appealed to the Lord Mayor for redress. ] Arrived: Eerndale and Christian M'Ausland from New Zealand.
