Mr G. W. Binney reports business dull, and stocks of provisions and grain very low. Adelaide flour, £\4; Oamaru, £12; wheat, 4s; oats, 4s to 4s 3d; barley, 5s 6 1 ; bran, £7 6s; pollard, £7 10s; hams and 'bacon, ls 4d; cheese, 9d ; oatmeal, £23. The passengers by the Mikado include Mr James Watt (the racehoree owner), Mrs Watt, Colonel Bnd Mrs Moute, the American transit of Venus party, and the Girard troupe, total 122. Wellington, Friday. Five trains a day will shortly run between the Hutt and Wellington instead of four as heretofore.
