The Tararua tnade a fine run to Wellington yesterday, leaving here at 9 30 a.m., and arriving at her destination at 7*15 p.m. , thus accomplishing the distance in 9^ hours. Good Templars. — A full attendance of the members of Loyal Nelson Lodge is requested this evening?, at halt-past seven o'clock, at the Temperance Hall, when the Hon. W. Fox will be present. We were yesterday Bbown three enormous onions of the " Giant Roccer" kiod, which were grown by Mr Charles Collier, of Blenheim, from seed obtained from Mr W. Hale, of this town. Some idea of their size and solidity may be formed when we state that the three weighed over 7 Jibs. They are now on view at Mesßia Lucas and Son's, Naval Brigade. — A meeting of members intending to join this corps, will be held at the Custom House Hotel this evening, at 8 o'clock. Travellers' Rest Lodge. — The members of this Lodge are reminded that a special meeting will be held at Richmond to-morrow evening, at 8 o'clock, for the transaction of important business. The Ladybird will therefore sail hence at midnight on tho 25th inst, instead of remaining nntil the following day, as usual.
