She was insured in the New Zealand office for £2500 and in the South British for £2500, The former had re-insured £750 and the latter £1250. The estimated cost of raising the steamer is £1500. The Aucklaud Steam Packet Company gave £7000 for the vessel originally. Cuptain Clayton, Insurance surveyor, has been despatched to the wreck. Dtjnedin, Saturday. The Guardian to-day says that the Chain Hills tunnel will be completed before the contract time (Sept* Ist),
