Wellington, Wednesday. H.M.S. Eosario leaves for Sydney to-morrow, when Bbc will be relieved of that part of her armament which Ihe Imperial Government intends to retain, and then proceed to Adelaide. Mr W. Seed, of the Customs department, goes home shortly on leave of absence. The following have booked as passengers by the ship Howrab, for London:—Mr Monro, Judge Richmond and family, Hon Mr Sewell, and Dr snd Mrs Hector. She takes as part of her cargo a lot of indigenous plants for the Royal gardens at Kew, and several specimens of natural history. Grahamstown, Tuesday. The representatives were entertained at a ball last night, when 400 were present. The repiesenlativea departed for Auckland to-day by the Lunu, accompanied by the Hon. Dr. and his Honor the Superintendent. Wat*gajnui, Wednesday. Tbe Jockey Club has decided to give £20 to tbe second, and £10 to the third horse in tbe Handicap.
