COLONIAL PRIZE FIRING.
(From Oub Speciat, Correspondent.) Pabawai. Friday, 2.25 p.m. The shooting will be finished to-morrow by the International match, ten men a side, between the English, Scotch, Irish, and Colonial t arns. A grand ball will be given at the Thames on Monday to the representatives. 7 p.m. The match at 400 and 500 yards at dark targets concluded this evening. The first prize of £6 was won by Sutton, of Mirlborough, with the brilliant score of 51 points out of a possible 56. The second prize of £5 was taken by Christie wih 46, and the third o£ £3 by Pumell, of Wanganui, with 45. Seven shots were fired at each range The shooting at the 400 yards range was good, but indifferent at the 500 yards. The International match to-morrow is attracting a great deal of attention, and it is generally believpd that the contest wid fie between the Scotch and Colonial team?
