Steamer Lady Bakkly. — This steamer will leave for Motueka, via Waitapu and Colliogwood, on Thursday next, at 6 p.m. United Prayer Meetings are announced (o be held as follows : — la the. 'Wesleyan Church, Hardy street, this evening at seven ; in the Baptist Churcli, oo Wednesday evening ; and in tho Presbyterian Church on Friday evening. The address this evening by Rev P. Calder. Sureme Court. — The civil sittings will commence on Wednesday next, when the case National Bank v. Mor timer, will come on for trial, and will probably occupy the whole day. On Thursday, the case of Knyvett v. o' Conor will be heard, after which, the Court will adjourn until Monday. Fatal Accident. — A telegram from Reefton was received in Nelson on Saturday afternoon, stating that the body of John Walker, a road contractor, had been found in the river at the Inangahua landing. No further particulars have reached us. Excdrsion to Wellington. — It will be seen by advertisement that the steamer Wallace will leave Nelson on an excursion trip to Wellington tomorrow afternoon, nt four o'clock, returning on Thursday i exfc. Excursion Trip. — Tho steamer Otago, which has on board a number of excursionists from Melbourne, including several shareholders in the Para Para Company, will make a trip to Collingwood on Saturday evening next, where she will be tendered by the Lady Barkly, in which boat the Nelson passengers will be brought back on Sunday eveniDg. The Otago will proceed thence to Melbourne, via the West Coasf. At the Auckland conference of Gool Templars for the formation of a Graud Lodge, forty«seven representatives were present. It was announced that there were forty lodges in the North Island and 3000 members. It was resolved to recommend as the boundary of the distriet, the whole North Island. The Executive then resigned, and new officers were elected.
