Reports leaving Newcastle on December 9; bad fresh N/W. winds until ■within 100 miles of the land; thence had fresh winds from the East, sighting Cape Farewell on the 1 7th, 8 days out. Since tlitn lad baffling head wiods with cilms, arriving as above. Sighted a barque on the 16th bouud West She brings a cargo of 346 tons coal and 2000 feet timber, consigned to ' Messrs N. Edwards and Co.
