Kakamea.— Our readers are reminded ihat the sals of lands at the Karamea will be held at the Government Buildings to-morrow at nooti. Peizb Fibiso.— -The prize firing for tbe City Cadets takes pl--.ce on the Maitai Range to-morrow miming at 5 o'clock. Cricket.— A cricket match will take place on Boxing Day at Wakefield, between eieven of the Wakefield Cricket Club and the same number of ihe Spring Grove Club. The match will be played on tha new ground opposite the grand stand, which will be open to visitors. Refreshments will be provided on the ground. Christ Chdrch Parsoxagf.— A snle of articles remaining over from the lata bazaar will be held in the garden at Brookside tomorrow aft* moon. A small charge will be made for admission. There area considerable number of both useful and ornamental artcles, all of which will ,be oif ered for sale at a ow figure. St. Mart's Chcrch.— High mass will be held at St. Mary's Church on Christmas Eve, commencing at eleven p.m. Admission will be t*y tickets, to be obtained from the members of the congregation. The following wiil be the mu-io:— Kyrie Eleison, Mozart's Twelfth Mass; Gloria, Newtham ; Credo and Sanctus, Uaydon's Thirteenth ; Bencdictus, Gounod ; Agmn Dei, Van Bree ; Adeste Fideles, NoveLo. Christmas Holidays— Friday end Siturdiy next, being Chnstinas and Boxiog Days, will bo observed as holidays, thus, with Sunday, giving three clear days to those who are desirous of availing themselves of the opportunity ot taking a trip into tli3 country. We understand that the shops are to be kept open on Thursday evening as is usually the case on Saturia>s.
