The wool sales closed with increasing weakness, and the quotations show a decline co the September rates of a penny to threepence per pound for faulty sorts, and in this description is the heaviest fall. Sound fleece IB scarce and comparatively firm. The -new dip brought by the Great Britain commands a better price. Twenty-two thousand bales were exported, and 10,000 of the old etock offered, of which 8000 were wiihdrawu. The Jason, bound from London to Sydney was tadly injured by fire, and towed back to the Victoria docks. an. , Decembers Xhe fire on board the Jason has broken out afresh, and the veesel is submerged in the dock. Berlin, December 10. TJf trial of Count Arnim commenced on the 7th December. Exceptions were taken to the jurisdiction of the C <urt, but they wereover-iuled. The indictment was read charging the Count with the embezzlement <rfStete document*. Tue examination of ■Witaetses has commenced.
