The s.B. Tararua cleared Fort Phillip Heads at 5. 50 p.m. on the 9th December, exT perienced light winds and fine weather until 6 a.m. on the 12th, when a very boavy gale from the SW, was encountered, which compelled her to heave to for 50 hours, when it moderated; fioe weather was met -with u^til arrival off Hokitika at 4 am. en the 17th; left at id a.m., and arrived in Nelson at 7.30 a.ra. on the 1 8th.
