SEALED TENDERS will be received at tlie Sopeiiimndent's Office, Ne!gon s up to Four o'clock p.m on the 31st day of DECEMBER next, from PERSONS willing ti ADVANCE and LEND to the Superintendent of the Province of Nelson an AMOUJST not exceeding £27.000, upon security of a mortgaga-of the Land mentioned in the Schedule hereto? PA^IH2 ARSy"^ It is proposed tl c xpemL«fna money to be borrowed in the construction of a Wharf and Dry Dock, and Reclaiming Land in the Nelson Harbor, whiclyworks will form part of the security. TJjf repayment of all moneys advanced wilHJe secured by a Deed of Mortgage of the Land mentioned in the schedule, executed and given according to the piovisicns of the "loin Act, 1874." The Mortgage will be for a Term of Twenty Years from the date thereof. Such Deed wiil contain, amongst the other usual provisio: s in Mortgage Deeis stipulations to the following effect:—---(1.) That in the event of the General Government of New Zealand or the Provincial Government of Nelson requiring to take or use any portion of the land comprised in such security for Railway purposes, they shall be at liberty to take anduaeihe same therefore without the consent of the Mortgagee being ne^ajary to be obtained, atd without tmrMoxtgagee thereof being entitled t«ny payiiienc or compensation in resrJst thereof. Starting from a point on the Nelson Haven one chain from the corner of Ruesell-streefc, and bearing 2> deg. magnetic, continuing the same bearing for a distance of 1300 links, thence by a line bearing 295deg magnetic, for a distance of 2200 links, thenca by a line hearing 205deg magnetic, for 3,400 links, thence by aline 115deg magnetic, for a distanc > of 800 links to the banks of the Harbor on Wakefleld Quay, and thence by the road to the^point from whence this description com tut need.
