Government Notices. NELSON HARBOR WORKS LOAN. SEALED TENDERS will be received at i the Superintendent's Office, Ne'aon, up to Four o'clock p.m on the 3 1st day of DECEMBER next, from PERSONS willing tJ ADVANCE and LEND to the SopebinTENDENT of the pROTiNCE of NELSON an AMOUNT not exceeding £27,000, upon security of a mortgage of the Land mentioned in the Schedule hereto ; PARTICULARS. Ii is proposed to expend the money to be borrowed, in the construction of a Wharf and Dry Dock, and Reclaiming Land in the Melson Harbor, which works will form part of the becurity. The repayment of ail moneys advanced will he secured by a Deed of Mortgage of the Land mentioned in the schedule, executed and given according to the ptovisijms of ihe ." Loan Act, 1874." The Mortgage will be for a Term of Twenty Years from the date thereof. Such Deed will contain, amongst the other usual provisions in Mortgage Deeds stipulations to the following Jeffect:—- (|.) That in tiie event of the General i Government, of New Zealand or the i Provincial Government of Nelson requiring to take or use any portion of the land comprised in such se:urity for Railway purposes, they shall be at liberty to take . and use the same therefore without the > consent of the Mortgagee being necessary to be obtained, and without the Mbrt- ' gagee thereof being entitled to any pay- ; roens or^compensatioa in respeoftbereof. (2.) Arsrting from a point on the Nelson Haven one chain from the corner of Russell-street, and bearing 2> deg. magnetic, continuing the same bearing for a distance of 1800 links, thence by a line bearing 295deg magnetic, fo( a distance of 2200 links, thence by a line bejirtog 205deg magnetic, for 3,400 links, thence by a line 115deg magnetic, for a distance of 800 links to the banks of the Harbor on Wakefield Quay, and thence by the road to the point from whence this description commenced.
