Government Notices, NELSON HARBOR WORKS LOAN. SEALED TENDERS will be received at the Superintendent's Office, Nelson, up to Four o'clock p.m on the 31st day of DECKMBEH next, frim PERSONS willing bj ADVANCE and LEND to the SupbbinrENDENT of the Pr'.vince of Nelson an AMOUNT not exceeding £27,000, upon Fecuritv of a mortgage of the Land mentioned in the Schedule hereto. PARTICULARS. It is proposed to expend the money to be borrowed in the construction of a Wharf and Dry Dock, and Reclaiming Land in the Nelson Harbor, which works Fill form part of the security. The repayment of all moneys advanced will be secured by a Deed of Mortgage of the Land mentioned in the schedule, executed and given according to the piovisions of the '• Loan Act, 1874." The Mortgage will be lor a Term of Twenty Years from the date thereof. Such Deed will contain, amongst the other umal provision s in Mortgage Deeds stipulations to the following effect: — (1.) That in the event of the General Government of New Zealand or the Provincial Uovernment of Nelson requiring to take or use a >y portion of the land comprised in ouch te urity for Railway purposes, thiy shall be at liberty to take i<nd use the same therefore without the consent of the Mortgagee being necessary to be obtained, ar;d without the Mortgagee thereof being entitled to any payn ent or compennation in respect thereof. (2.) Ihe Mortgagor shall not be bouad to insure any buildings or erections on the t>aii security. (3.) Starting from a point on the Nelson Haven one chain from the corner of Russell-street, and bearing 25 deg. magnetic, continuing the same bearing for a distance of 1300 links, thence by a line bearing 295deg magnetic, for a distance of 2200 links, thence by a line tearing 205(16? magnetic, for 3,400 links, thence by a line 115deg magnetic, for a distance of 800 links to the banks of the Harbor on Wakefleld Quay, and thence by the road to the point from whence this description commenced.
