The firing for choice of representatives in this province was completed od Saturday at Stoke and Waimea West. The six highest scorers are : — Points. Corpl. Crossman, City Riflea ... 81 Vol. F. Tomlinjon, Waimea. Rifles n Sergt. Harling, Artillery 80 Oorpl Burns, City Rifles 80 Vol. Fowler. Waime* Rifles ... 79 Sergt Hall, Waimea Rifles ... 78 Lieut. Paynter, of the Stoke Rifles, made 78, but his score at the longest range, being less than that made by Sergt. Hall, the tie was, according to regulations, decided in favor of the latter. The six district representatives above named will fire again for the ohoice of one colonial representative for the Province, the firing to take place before the 19th December next.
