The- barque Adamant, 815 tons, Captain Grant, arrived in Wellington harbor on Wednesday morning from Newcastle, after being off tbe Heads for six days The passage from Newcastle to the Beads was made in 9 dajra * Fearsare entertained for the safety of the schooner Kaituna. She left Haveiock, timber laden, bound to Oamaru, on the 30th Sept. During a heavy gale she put into Afearoa; left that port on the 12th October, and has not since been heard of.
