Ii was found necessary 4o revise the evening services, and they now stand as follows:— Mr Simmonds to preach on Thursday, Mr Marten on Friday, and Mr Simon (candidate) next Tuesday. , The Home Mission and Circuit tea meeting to be held on Wednesday, September 18. The inquiry into ministerial character was resumed and concluded. As -the' probationer's examination was arranged for, he had papers given him to fill up during the sitting The consideration of the question respecting candidates for the ministry was held over nn til the arrival of other ministers from the Wtst Coast. > ■■ , ; In reference to any minister offering for mission work, Mr Simraondc, who in consequence of domestic affiic'iou has returned from Fiji, and for the present requests a circuit ia New Zealand, will hold himself ready to return, if required, when Mrs j S mmond*' health shall bo re-established. No division or alteration of circuits in the j dUtrict was recommended. ' The Motueka Circuit is prepare! to fulfil its obligations to take a mxrried instead of a single minister at the ensuing Conference. No new place* were proposed to be occupied.
