Rob -rts. requ sting the Board to lower the rent of the Westport education reserves takln by him September 5, 1873, by one half df the amount thea agreed upon, such reduction to have a retrospective action. , Resolved, on the r motion of Mr Shephanl, "Thit the Board decline to entertain any/ proposition from Me Roberta, varying frofn the propositions originally made by bim." . The following amendment, proposed by.Mr Jackson, wis lost on a division— • ' '< ' \ " That the Board agree to reduce Mr Roberts' rents by, 20 per cent, so;far,a» such rents are paid within thirty days after the s»me becomes due; this offer to b£ withoh/ prejudice" . / The application of the Town CommUtee for £2i.Bd to recoup, the cost of receipt stamps for teachers' salaries was refused, ; A correspondence between Mt P.
