The schooner Fiery Cross, 26^daysK from Napier, has arrived. She left oh the 28th September, and had gales from tbe start.-" On the 6th instant, a tremendously* h&avyLequall 4 drove the vessel on her beam ends, and the next day her rudder was carried away, the stocfe^Weafcing~in tatf." Thevessellay in a helpless coodiiion in a cross sea, and had to heave- to for ten days. She drifted, to Jee ward at the rate of three knot*, -per hour on an average. She made several attempts to ship a new rodder: but did not succeed. The discussion on ritualism has been settled by the withdrawal of all motions on the matter which is left in the bands of the Bishop, who has promised to give his attention to any appeal from a congregation.
