Customs Revenue. — The amount of customs revenue received at tbe port of Nelson during the quarter, ending 30th September last was £11,021. At Weetfiort duiin^ the Bamn period it was £5004. of Freemasons) up to about ten o'clock. After the usual Loyal and Masonic toaste, among which special notice waa given to that of H.K.H. the Prince of Wales as the newly installed Grand Master of England, a number of special toasfs were proposed and responded to. During the week M.k\ Comp. Thiel ami bis brother ME. Companions, have exalted and affiliated a Dumber sufficient to create a strong and vigorous Chapter, and, judging from the character of its leading Companions, a bright future is predicted by them. The following office-bearers have been duly installed and invested : — M.B. Comp. W.B. Scaly, Z. ; W. Westbrook Squires, H ; R. Burn, J. ; W.M. Stantoo, E. ; A. M'Kellar Wix, N. ; William Lightfoot, Treasurer; W. Holmes, J. Hounsell, and L. G. Boor. Sojs. The Christchurch officers vißited tbe Southern Star Lodge on Tuesday evening, and were much pleased with its order and working. The M.E. Companions left for Canterbury by the 8.8. Wellington ou Saturday, at noon, when a large concourse of Freemasons assembled on the wharf to take leave of their Christchurch brethren, who left a most favorable impressioo, and who parted with hearty good wishes.
