Edwards & Co. received a telegram this afternoon informing tbem tbat the steamers Kennedy, Charles Edward, and Murray are de- j Gained at Greymouth in consequence of tbe bar being too shallow to let them out. I A herd of red deer, numbering nearly twenty, was recently seen on Franklya's Flat, on the other side of the Maungatßpu, by a traveller who was coming through from Marlborough. Artillery Entertainment.— The dramatic entertainment in aid of the band fund will be given at the Oddfellows' HaU this evening. The Gothenburg arrived at the Bluff this morning. Her telegrams will be found elsewhere. The Lady Barkly starts on her last trip to Collingwood this afternoon. I On her return she will be laid up for repairs for a fortnight.
