MIASMA'S APPEAL.
[A correspondent has requested us to publish his complaints of a grievance of an unsavoury character which, under the aoove heading, he has forwarded to us in what is supposed to be rhyme. By •• rhyme "we do not mean poetry.] Neglected here I'm rotting In pititul (Ji.tre.s ; Great Tasman's name I'm spotting From Halifax-street due West As you turn round the corner Where Tautunga gently blows You'll soon discern my presence If you do not hold your nose. Chaste, modest, unaspiring, 1 here assert my sway; innocent and retiring For Mr W ts I pray Assist W ta my dilemma Remove me from the way Though not a Queen of Beauty I here supremely reign; AU mankind does me duty Miasma is my name 1 Tawai Kai Kiori, . Wakatu.
