It is rumored on good authority that the Mayor of Christchurch -intends, before the expiration 'of his term ot office in November, to invite tbe Premier, to a banquet. . . Wellington, Toesday. Arrived : Strathnavar, from London, 86 days out, with 391 immigrants, including 52 single girls. Four births and six deaths of infante occurred on' the voyage. Mr Jackson, previously doctor of the E. P. Bouverie is in charge. - . Lyttelton, Tuesday. The Catbcart, 79 days from Gravesend, brings 479 ; souls. Five deaths and four births occurred. The St. Lawrence, 101 days oat, has arrived with 404 souls. There were eight deaths of infants. i The Canterbury has arrived, from Glasgow. She is said to have 400 immigrants.
