GBAHA3ISTOWN, August 25. The Bright Smile have banked 1,*200 ounces of gold from a fortnight's crushing. A new reel was discovered in the Caledonian during Friday night, which haß caused a rise in ecrip of £2, although the hew find is not yet proved to be of consequence. To-day, scrip is easy, at £10 Ids. The natire meeting is breaking up, and the Maoris are leaving every day. It is understood that Mr. Mackay has raan-iged matters adminbly. hwiilg compelled the chiefs to admit having received heavy advances on their land. a;
