To thb Editor or thb Etching- Mail. Sib— Will you allow me space for a lew words in reply to a letter which appeared in last Saturday's Colonist, signed " M. Crewdson" With reference to what be saya about my horse, I am in a position to prove that it is not a knocked-np horse, and will state that it will comp-ire favorably with any of his horses. As to what he says about the crossing, I will state that it was not in a safe condition, as otters can testify, on the day in question, whatever it may be at the present time.
