Bankruptcy Court.— The Court met tbis morning formally, and was adjourned until Monday next. \ We are informed th|t a musical and dramatic entertainment ia beiug -prepared by Mrs G-. Paliler, whioh will take place about the list September. The entertainments given by that lady are increasing iu popularity, and no doubt thia one will be largely attended. Artizans* Association. — The members of thia Association gave another of their entertainments last night, aa nsual to a full house. I With increased practice the members are certainly improving in the actin|, tbe drama of " Ben Bolt " being a*et on the st*ge, and the various characters presented in very creditable atyle. The farce " Rendezvous " with which the per- 1 formanse waa brought to a close, was j very amusing, and sent the audience home in a thoroughly good humor. The entertainment will be repeated on Tuesday next, when we hope to see another bumper houae, the object being to enable tbe Association to obtain a wardrobe, when they will then be able to come forward in any charitable cause. The Government Resolutions.AThe result of lasf night's division must have taken everyone by surprise, for ao large a majority for the Government was never anticipated. There can be little doubt that with tbe Speaker's declaration of the result waa sounded the first Btroke of the death knell of provincialism throughout the colony. Accident. — An accident occurred yesterday to Mr Joseph Bradcock, owing, it is said, to tbe faulty state of tbe tramway crossing at the Saltwater Bridge./ Bradcock waa driving his cab up from the Port when the horse stumbled over the planking, which was sticking up, and fell, throwing out the driver and a passenger who waa inside, and breaking both shafts. Fortunately neither of the two occupants waa seriously hurt.
