At a meeting of the Tookey Company, opposition was offered to any increase of tbe capital at present, and to putting any mortgage on the property that might have tbe effect of making- the shareholders liable to the New Zealand Government for their share of the proposed loan. The meeting was adjourned to givo time for considering the position of tbe Company. Madam Goddard will shortly visit New Zealand. Robs, the leader of Elder's exploration] committee, Las returned to Strongeway's Creek, and is expected to reach Stuart's Creek on Saturday.
