' She left Plymouth on May 7th, with a fine breeze from the N.W;, discharging ihe pilot ..the Mine day. Crossed the equator on Tu"sday, the 2nd June, in longitude 26 West. Fine weather prevailed until Wednesday, 'June 10, when it blew hard Irom the eastward, rAt about 11 a.m. a very heavy squall struck the ship, carrying away tbe bowsprit and all attached to it, and splitting the jibs to ribbons. Between the Cape of Good hope and Tasmania experienced occa.ioml gales. Sighted Tasmania on Thursday, July 23, irom thence experienced light northerly winds, sighting <- Capie Farewell at daylight on Friday, arriving as above. The longest distance logged in one day was 250 miles.
