Caucus of Nklson Members. —Mr Luckie has telegraphed as follows to to the Colonist:—"A meeting of the Nelson members of both Houses of Parliament took place on Monday afternoon, to consider the propositions of ihe Government in dealing with Neison. After considerable conversation, it was agreed that the members wait on the Premier, and request, first, that tbe annual eubsidy be £10,000 instead ol £5,000 ; that an account be made this year for the continuance of the railway beyond Foxhill, somo of the members considering that it is not sufficient merely to provide for the survey. If tbe Government decline to accede to the latter, it is proposed to ask that a road be mado onwards from Foxhill, in the same direction as tbe proposed line, which could ultimately be used for the railway. It waa also resolved to ask the Government to supply small grants to aid waterworks on tlie West Coast Goldfields. The interview will take place on an early date.
