To the Editor of thb Eybsing Mao,. Sib — It is much to be regretted that " Radical Reformer, No. 80," who shines forth in the columns of your contemporary this morning, did not make himself acquainted with facts beforo committing himself to print. Some time ago Mr David Burns (the "private person" referred lo) made up the public footpath on the north side of Nile-street West, where the sewer is now being laid down, at a cosl to himself of about £7, and the Board of Works promised as soon aa the sewer was made to give him an equivalent for the material with which he then formed such foothpath. I leave the publio to judge whether they are injured by such action on the part of the City Council. I am, ko., John Pebcy. Nelson, July 28, 1874.
