Singapore, July 9. The Nubia from Australia arrived at Galle on the 7th instant. Pabis, July 8. Ia the Assembly the debate on the motion introduced by the Legitimists against M'Mahon's proclamation of the Septennial was. brought to a conclusion. The Lift abstained from votiog. The Legitimists were in a minoric* . 'Ihe members of thu Lefo ex- : preesed their regret at the suspension ot the ; union with the Legitimists but felt it their - dttty not to vote. The motion was rejected - by 378 to 80. Snbiequently a motion in iavor of reproclaiming M'Mahon's power, was . submitted and supported by the Gov. m ment, but rejected by 369 to 33 1 . Ultimately it was resolved to pass on to the order of the day on a division by 339 to 315. Ministers at once tendered their resignation to President M'Mahon. who peremptorily refused to accept them, and sent a resolute message to the Assembly declining the seven years powers as irrevocable, and that the Assembly by voting it enhanced its own sovereignty . He demands the immediate organization of the powers entrusted to him because he regards it as his imperative duty to ensnse the tranquility and security of the country. The Assembly refused to vote an " urgent " motion in favor of dissolution. A private telegram received from London says that wool is selling privately at a penny advance on the last auction sales.
