Cotton and Captain Boyd left yesterday for the North as a deputation from the new Colonial Banking Company to operate with the various local committees formed over the Colony. Seventy thousand shares in the new Colonial Bank are applied for in Otago and Southland alone. New shares are applied for in both places.
