The Nelson Evening Mail. WEDNESDAY, MAy 27, 1874.
Stabbing.— Stephen Matthews was brought up again this morning charged with stabbing his wife,, who on this occasion had overcome her scruples and gave her evidence. The case lasted some time, and prisoner was ultimately remanded until to-morrow, in order to allow of his procuring a witness for the defence. .
