Auckland, May 18 - At the Auckland Police Court Macfarlane called Mr Beckharu, Jt,M , on the bench. . Mr Beep, Harris' ounsel^ objected to proceed on the grounds that Mactarlane was closeted with Mr Beckhaoi, subsequent to laying information, and had reported whole circumstances to the Government; be was content to abide the result Mr Beckhasn said he had not seen the information when he .had the interview wilh Macfarlane, and no evidence being called he dismissed both charges. Gbuymooth, May 19. In the Cohdon Police Court yesteriay, Patrick Warron and John Warren, accommodation house-keepers at Ten Mile Creek, wtre charged wiih cattle stealing. Fifteen witnesses were examined, and the evidence was strongly against the accused, who were committed for trial. Bail was accepted, tbe two Warrens in two sureties of £250 each, jind Fitzgerald in two sureties of £100 each The case occupied the Court until late last evening.
