Sm—ln the report of the meeting of tbe City Council last evening, which appears iv the Colonist, I am made to say " that the Provincial Government were about to expend a large sum of money in laying down a ?ecoud main from the reservoir, to t'iwn in order to increase the Mipply of water." What I did say was "ihat a report was current io the town that a second main was about to be laid down, as the present was found insufficient" By inserting this you will oblige. I am, &c, Jno. Peroy.
