Treasury, Wellington, 9th April, 1874. ; TENDED S aro invited for the purchas^of the whole or any portion of Fitty Thousand Pounds New Zealand Government Debentures, issued under the Act of the Legislature of the Colony, entitled "The Westland Loan Act, 1873." By the Act aboVe-^iteb* the principal sum to be raised, and the interest thereon, are charged on the Consolidated Revenue of the Colony; a special block of 260,000 acres in extent being set apart as Fccurity to the Colony for the amount to le raised. 'J he Tenders will be received and the Debentures issued subject to the undermentioned conditions: — 1. The Debentures will be payable to bearer, and will be issued -in turns of not less than One Hundred' Pounds each. 2. The Debentures will bear interest at the rate of 5 per cent per annum, payable half-yearly, on the 15th cay of April and the Id'lh day of October, in each year, at the Treasury at Wellington, or ft any branch of the Bank of Few Zealand in New Zealand, on notice given at the.
