NELSON RACES.
To the Editor of the Evesinq Mail. .in— l wish to call jour attention and tbe attention of all interested in tbe success of racing in Nelson, to a breach of court e y (to use a very mild term) which I experienced at tl c h.nds of one of the Stewards of the Nelson Races to-day. I do not own an acre in Nelson, in fact am merely a visitor. I wis aske 1 to pub cribe to tho races, and willingly di<i so Owina; to a temporary scarcity of rsce cirds, I was unable to buy one on my arrival. I took what did nt appear t'> me a very great liberty, and asked one of the Stewards what time the Steeplechase was t-> be run. His reply was, "It you want to kmw why don't you buy a card." I hope comment is unnecessary, I enclose mv card, but not for publication. 1 Bm, &f ., llospe.. Nelson, April 29, 1874
