TENDEKS are invited for tha purchase of the whole or anv portion of Fifty Thousand Pounds New Zealand Government Debentures, issued under the Act of the Legislature of the Colony, entitled " Ihe Westland Loan Act, 1873." By the Act above '.cited, the principal sum to be raised, aud the intereet thereon, are charged on .the Consolidated Revenue of the Colony; a special block pf 260,000 acres in extent being set apart as security to the Colony for the amount, to be raised. 'Ihe Tenders will be received and the Debentures issued subject ti the undermentioned conditions: — 1. The Debentures will be parable to bearer, and wiil be i«sutd in turns of not less than One Hundred Pounds each. 2, The Debentures will bear interest at the rate of 5 per cint per annum, payable half-yearly, on the 15th day of April ar,d the 15th day of Cct'oberin each year, at the Treasury at Welling* ton, or ot any branch of the Bank of New Zealand in New Zealand, on notice given at the Treasury one month before the due date. 8. Tbe principal sum will be payable on the 15th day oi April, 1894, at the Tr'ea.ury at Wellington, or at any branch of the Bank of Ne«r Zealand iu N'W Zealand, at the tptlon pf the holder, six months' notice being required, previous t^nratOrityY IJTTrIS' place at which paymentis detired: 4. Applications by telegraph, received not later than 10 o'clock a m. on the l.t May, will be accepted, provided they ure accompanied by a telegram from the Manager of any Branch or Agency of the Bank of IN'ew Zealand notifying that the necessary deposit has been paid into the Bank of New Zealand to the credit of a Loan Depo.it Account. If no allotment be made, the 5 per cent deposit will be returned in full; and if a portion only of tho amount be allotted, the surplus will be applied in payment cf the balance.
