' rpENDERS are invited for the purchase of Ju the whole or any pbttidh of titty Thousand Pounds New Zealand Government /Debentures, issued under the Act of theLegis'Jature of the Colony, entitled "lhe Wcßtland ' Loan Act, 1873." By the Act above the principal sum to be raised; and the interest thereon, ure chirged on the Consolidated Revenue of the Colony; a special block of 250,000 acres in extent being set apart as security to the Colony for tbe amount to be raised. lhe Tenders will be received and the Debentnres issued subject to the 'undermentioned conditions:—: 1. The Debentures will be payable to bearer, and wiil be hstitd hf turns of not less than One Hundred Pounds each. ' ■:' "• 2. The Debentures will bear interest at the rate of 5 per cent per annum, payable half-yearly, on the 15th oay of April and tbe 15th day of October, in each year, at the Treasury at Wellington, or «t any branch of the Bank of New Zealand in New Zealand, on notice given at the Treasury one month before the due date. 3. Applications by telegraph, received not later than 10 o'clock a.m. on tbe lot May, will be accepted, provided they fire accompanied by a telegram from the Manager of any Branch or Agency of the Bank of fc'ew •Zealand notifying that tbe necessary deposit has been paid into the Bank of New Zealand to the credit of a Loan Deposit Account. If no allotment be made, the 5 per cent deposit will be returned in full; and if a portion only of the amount be allotted,, the surplus will be applied in payment df the balance.
