Present quotations are : — East Kent goldings, £5 to £8 10s; Mid Kent, £4 15s to £8; Weald of Kent, £4 10s to £6 10s; Sussex, £4 4& to £5 10s ; Worcester s, £5 to £6 10s; Farnham, £5 Ids to £7 7s; country, £5 12s to £7; yearling?, £3 10s to £5; Bavarians, £6 to £7 15s; and Belgians, £3 -tn £4- 4b.

WOOL.

Messrs Charles Balme and Co. report:— The first series of colonial wool sales of the year opened on February 17, with a catalogue comprising 5925 bales, there being but a small proportion of the new Port Phillip clip offered. We" have to report an unusually large attendance of Home and French buyers, Germany and Belgium being however, moro '" moderately represented. The biddings were spirited, and established prices folly on a par with tthose ruling in November-December, with a tendency in favor of sellers.
