(he whole or any ■. portion of Fifty Thousand Pounds New Zealand Government Debentures, issued under the Act of the Legislature of the Colony, entitled " The Westland Loan Act, 1873." By lhe Act above cited, the principal sum to be raised, and theinterest {hereon, are cbtrged on the Consolidated Kevenue of the Colony; a special block of 260,000 acres in extent .being set' apart as security to the Colony for the amount to be: Raised. j lhe Tenders will be received and the Debehtnres . issued subject, to, the under-, mentioned conditions:— 'v_*"-". 1. Applications by telegraph, received not later than 10 o'clock a m, on the Ist May* will be accepted, provided they are accompanied by a telegram from the Manager of any Branch or Agency pf the Bank of "New Zealand notifying that the necessary deposit . has been paid into the Bank of New Zealand ' to the credit of a Loan Deposit Account. If no allotment be made, the 5 per cent deposit will be returned in full; and if a portion only of the amount be allotted, the surplus will be applied in payment of the balance.
