This was a splendid race all the way between the two, and was won by a lengtii. Gseat Autumn Handicap, of 200 sovg, added to a sweepstake of 10 aovs each, h ft for acceptors : Mr Watt's Kakapo, S 3yrs, 7st 91bs, 1 ; Mr Mallock's Gossip, 5 yrs, 6st 71bs, 2 ; Mr WebD's Revoke colt. 8 yrs, 6s-t, 3. This was a splendid race. Templeton (3 yrs, 6Bt lOlbs), and Lurline (4 yrs, 9st lOlbs), made the running to within half a mile from home, when Kakapo came up, and Lurline was pulled back. Curragh Selling Handicap : Mr Lunn's The Bat, 1 ; Mr Webb's Tantrum filly, ?. Won easily. The winner was sold for £26. All- Aged Stakes : Calumny, 1 ; Malice, 2. Won in a c inter. The Consolation Handicap was won by Templeton, Parawhenua second.
