The deceased leaves, __ .. a Widow in a delicate state of health and two infant children, who are by his decease deprived of tbeir means of support. The settlers of Takaka appeal with confl- .. dence to the public of Nelson to aid in raising : '"" a small sum which may be invested for the benefit of those bo untimely and unhappily bereaved.
