Wholesale market prices : butter, 10dj-- cheese, 8d; eggs, ls 6d per dozen; ducks and fowls, 4s 6d to ss; turkeys, 5s to 7s ; flour, £13 10s; wheat, 5s 3d; oats, 4s.
The journeymen bakers are agreeing for eight hours and ls 9d an hour for overtime. Tbe masters say they cannot afford to comply to their demands. Auckland, February 7.
All the female immigrants per Lauderdale were immediately engaged, the applications being in excess of the supply.
Mr Moriarty, the Sydney Government Engineer, reports in favor of a water supply from the Western Springs. The estimated cost is £66,714. The supply of water will be 2,000,400 gallons in the driest season.

Tbe Alhambra, Captain Sinclair, left Melbourne on the 31st January, and arrived here this evening. She brings 51 saloon, and 46 steerage pa._engers, and. 230 tons of cargo for all ports .

Large sales of wheat for forward delivery have been made by the farmers at 4s 6d; oats are being held back for 2s; barley, 4s to 4s 3d; fair supply of butter and cheese at from 3d to 6d.
The Wesleyan Conference yesterday decided that the annual Conierence be composed of all ministers and one layman from -each district, equal to the number of ministers to be chosen as representatives. The next New Zealand Conference will be held at Auckland on the lath January, 187-5.
