The third and fourth epistles of" Pope's Essay on Man " c. Arithmetic. — ColenEo's smaller arithmetic and the school arithmetics published by Cornwell and Chambers may be used as text- > books. d. Writing. — This wiil be judged by the ' History paper, f. English Composition. — This will be decided as' hitherto, on the literary and historical papers apart from their other merits. f. Spelling. — The History paper will be made the test of spelling. Sad spelling will in this, as in former examinations, disqualify ' any candidate, however good in other respects his papers may be.
